ST ALBANS DENTAL PRACTICE PUTS NUTRITION CLINIC ON THE MENU
A dental practice in St Albans is offering patients an additional service this summer, with the introduction of a professional Nutrition Clinic.
Bricketwood Practice, based on Oakwood Road, has teamed up with expert nutrition consultant Reshma Patel, to help improve the health of their local community.
Dr Anil Patel, principal dentist at the practice, commented: "Our patients are at the heart of everything we do, and the Bricketwood team and I are committed to making their experience at the practice a good one. Working with Reshma is the perfect opportunity for us to enhance our offering to patients, while educating the local community about healthy eating and the effect certain foods and drinks can have on oral health."
Reshma is an experienced dietitian that works with numerous other professionals adding value to business. A specialist in child nutrition and weight management, Reshma has worked alongside many groups to promote health and wellbeing, including the British Heart Foundation.
When asked about her new endeavour with the dental practice, Reshma responded: "I'm so excited to welcome Bricketwood's patients to the Nutritional Clinic and I can't wait to help them make positive changes to their lifestyles. I'll be offering one-to-one consultations where patients will be able to speak freely about their dietary and nutritional requirements and what they would like to achieve. I'll also be able to help patients interested in cholesterol tests, blood pressure measurements, diabetes management and diet plans.
"My interest in nutrition started back when I was very young, as I enjoyed experimenting with recipes and food groups to create balanced meals.
I'm really looking forward to taking the next step in my career and working with the local community in St Albans, as well as educating patients on the impact their nutritional choices can have on their teeth and gums."
